Celebrating Success at Highfields 10th annual Duke of Edinburgh Awards Evening
On Thursday 30th April, Highfields School hosted its 10th annual DofE Awards Evening, welcoming back 100 students to receive their awards. The event was attended by special guests, former Highfields Gold Award recipient Dr Mrithula Raj Balaji and local MP Warinder Juss.
The evening celebrated the students’ hard work and dedication across the Physical, Volunteering and Skills sections, alongside highlights from their expeditions, shared through photos and memorable experiences. It was very well supported by parents, and Dr Raj Balaji delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on her own DofE journey and how it supported her path to becoming a doctor.
In addition to the awards, several students received individual recognition for their outstanding achievements. Nia and Anya were presented with the Bronze Individual Award. The Silver Individual Award went to Kasey and Avneet, while the Gold Endeavour Award was awarded to Finley and Charlotte.
It was a very special evening for all involved, and congratulations to every student who received their award.
