Highfields Students explore their futures

We are delighted to be celebrating another successful start to the year following our Careers Fair and Year 9 Course Choice Evening. It was wonderful to see so many of our fantastic students attending the event, eager to explore their futures and the many opportunities ahead of them.

At Highfields, we take great pride in supporting our students at every stage of their journey — from the moment they walk through our doors in their slightly-too-big blazers, full of excitement and curiosity, to the day we watch them move on to their next adventure beyond our school. Events such as this, play a vital role in helping students prepare for the future, whether they are choosing their Key Stage 4 options or beginning to explore career pathways that truly inspire them.

We are proud to offer a wide and exciting range of GCSE courses, from Film Studies to Sports Studies, and we were equally fortunate to welcome such a diverse selection of exhibitors on the evening. Representatives from higher and further education, the uniformed services, banking, medical sciences, and construction, among many others, helped showcase the breadth of opportunities available to our students.

A huge thank you goes to all the exhibitors and staff who worked so hard to make the evening such a success. Most importantly, thank you to our incredible students for engaging so positively, asking thoughtful questions, and representing Highfields so wonderfully.
