Preparations are under way for this year’s Autumn Festival, which will see crowds entertained with live drama and music performances, activities, stalls and a spectacular fireworks display finale on the terrace.
The Autumn Festival has become a popular annual fixture on the school calendar over the past five years and more than 200 students, parents and members of the community are expected to flock to this year’s extravaganza.
Budding young actors and actresses will be taking to the stage in The Lyceum, whilst the event will also feature performances from a a rock band, drol drummers and dancers. As well as the diverse mix of live performances, there will also be a cake sale, henna and face painting and crafts activities.
Highfields’ Head of Performance Sharon Bishop, who is organising the event, said: “Preparations are already well under way for this year’s Autumn Festival, which is always a popular feature on the school calendar.
“We have a diverse mix of live performances lined up as well as a host of other fun activities to entertain the whole family. We are looking forward to welcoming hundreds of people to enjoy another fantastic evening.”
Highfields has hosted an Autumn Festival since moving into its state-of-the-art building in 2012.
