Students develop confidence using a range of digital tools, including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. They learn how to organise their work, collaborate effectively, communicate professionally, research information critically, and use technology safely and responsibly.

Digital Literacy

All students in Year 7 follow a bespoke Digital Literacy program designed to develop independent, resilient, and confident learners who can thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Throughout the year, students explore six key units: Digital Foundations, Online Identity and Staying Safe, Smart Searching and Fake News, Me, My Planet and Digital Responsibility, Digital Wellbeing and Healthy Technology Use, and Digital Careers and the Future of Work.

The curriculum also develops AI literacy, helping students understand how artificial intelligence is used in everyday life and how to evaluate AI-generated content critically. Alongside this, students explore online safety, digital wellbeing, misinformation, sustainability, and future careers.

Oracy is developed through structured discussions, presentations, and collaborative activities, enabling students to communicate clearly, listen actively, and confidently express their ideas across the curriculum.
