A Welcome from our Headteacher

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Highfields School.  Our school is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive place to where every child matters.  For us, every child is unique.  We celebrate each student’s individuality and nurture their interests, skills and talents so they can flourish.

Highfields is a highly successful school.  We have a long-standing reputation for faithfully serving our community. Students are proud to belong here; they feel safe, valued and supported. We provide excellent inclusive care, guidance and support so every child knows they are valued and encouraged to realise their potential.

We are fiercely ambitious for every child. Our broad, well-sequenced curriculum builds deep knowledge, skills and understanding. By promoting a love of learning, we enable students to achieve consistently above the national average and to leave school with strong outcomes.

Our purpose though goes far beyond qualifications. We develop the whole child ensuring pupils become confident, aspirational, reflective and curious. This is achieved through life skills, character education and an extensive personal development programme.

Our large, committed team of teaching and support staff deliver high-quality lessons for all. Dedicated subject specialists engage and challenge pupils, stretching them beyond what they thought possible. We set high standards and have high expectations of all including ourselves.  Our students are consistently polite and courteous, creating a calm, encouraging learning environment.
