At Highfields School we are keen to share the achievements of our former students and tap into their skills and knowledge to inspire our current students. Soul superstar Beverley Knight is an alumna of Highfields and has returned to the school on a number of occasions to inspire students and support them in school productions. She delighted the cast of the school's production of Hairspray when she invited them to visit her in the West End where she was appearing in Memphis The Musical and was among the VIP guests invited to officially open the state-of-the-art new Highfields building in 2012, alongside another former student, Rear Admiral Steve Lloyd CBE. Many other former students have also returned to school to pursue careers in education at Highfields.
