Whisking Their Way to the Finals!

Future Chef is an exciting opportunity for students studying Food and Hospitality to showcase their culinary talents, creativity and passion for cooking.

On Wednesday 14 October, Highfields held its in-school heats of the Future Chef competition, with four talented students rising to the challenge. Each competitor demonstrated fantastic practical skills, determination and creativity, producing an impressive restaurant-quality dish.

The standard was exceptionally high, making it a difficult decision for the judges. However, two students secured their places in the next stage of the competition.

Congratulations to Ophelia (Year 10) and Kareem (Year 11), who will represent Highfields at the local finals in December, competing against talented young chefs from other local schools.

We are incredibly proud of all four students who took part. Their hard work, enthusiasm and culinary skills were a credit to the Food department, and the competition provided a fantastic opportunity to develop their confidence and showcase their potential.

Well done to everyone involved, and best of luck to Ophelia and Kareem as they prepare for the local finals!
