Celebrating the European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages is celebrated annually on 26 September, highlighting Europe's rich linguistic and cultural diversity and encouraging language learning at any age.

At Highfields there will be plenty happening throughout the school to mark the occasion. Students will be able to enjoy special food on the menu, while all forms will take part in a fun quiz exploring sports personalities and the different languages they speak. Our Year 7 students will also be getting involved through a range of activities in their Spanish lessons, giving them the opportunity to explore the variety of languages spoken across Europe and learn more about the cultures associated with them. We are looking forward to celebrating the importance of languages and encouraging our students to appreciate the many different languages and cultures that make Europe so diverse.
