WHAT YOU STUDY
This subject will help you to develop an understanding of businesses and the markets they serve, using a problem solving approach. Business allows you to learn about the key functions of business organisations including Finance, Marketing, People Management and Operations Management and also the key external constraints that businesses face in the modern economy.
HOW YOU STUDY
A-Level Business is a two-year course. The knowledge, content and skills developed from the qualification will enable students to prepare for the new A-Level qualification in 2022.
Students learn through a range of different methods including group tasks, independent study, presentations, essays and case analysis. The core assessment on the course is based around the use of case study scenarios and the application of business and management theories.
The finance element of the course requires the use of some mathematical formulae however this would not prove a hindrance to a student achieving a Grade 5 in Maths at GCSE.
